Natalie and the {Florist} Interview Kristen Bradley - Panache Style
One of the greatest joys I’ve had on this friendor-filled journey is having the opportunity to meet and work with so many fascinating vendors along the way. One of those people is Kristen Bradley, a “flower friend” or as I love to say it a friendor who is the face of the powerhouse florals firm, Panache Style. While based in South Florida, their work takes them across the country as one of the best-rated designers around the world to create stunning floral designs in breathtaking locations.
Kristen, thanks so much for taking the time to share your story with our readers. Provide us a little insight on Panache Style.
I stumbled into floral design sort of by chance. Several years ago, a friend of mine asked me to help with her wedding decorations. At the time I didn't have any experience. Throughout the process of helping her, I realized that I had a natural skill in floral design. From then on, I decided to seriously pursue a career in the floral industry by taking classes. I took masterclasses with Preston Bailey, and Karen Tran to hone my skill.
Masterclasses with Preston & Karen? This must of been extremely exciting. What did you discover during your research on bespoke blooms? Is it an expression? Are there parallels to the floral renaissance we’re seeing today? I know, so many questions in one, but I had to get it all out while the baby was sleeping, lol!
Bespoke blooms are all about individual expression. I like for my designs to be unique to each client. Today true floral design has become a bit stagnant because of Pinterest. Many clients request the same designs they see on Pinterest. I always encourage my clients to be open to designs that are non-traditional. It's far more awe-inspiring for guests when your decor is unique to you and something that breaks away from the status quo.
I’m ready for the channel! We are ready for the channel! I know it will definitely be exciting to watch. Do you have any advice for others who want to cultivate creativity?
Create without worrying about the expectations or critics of others. Not everyone will like what you create and that's perfectly fine. The best things in life are created when they come from a place of free expression.
A place of free expression, this is so true! I’m wrapping up now, Kristen - how can you be reached?
