Rustic Wedding at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort Braselton, Georgia

We received a call from one of our fabulous wedding planners that they would love for us to travel to Georgia during Thanksgiving to celebrate their client’s union. What did we say? Of course, we will! While enjoying South Florida’s weather, we decided instead to soak in every moment to prepare for what was the coldest Thanksgiving ever for Georgia State. We pinched ourselves to verify this was real life. Are we Floridians heading to Georgia on Thanksgiving weekend to celebrate a wedding on Black Friday, on the coldest it has ever been for Georgia, on this day? The answer is yes. Yes, we drove. Yes, we overpacked. Yes, we bundled up like we were in Antarctica! This wedding was one of those moments for me. Despite the logistical challenges we faced of getting everything (and everyone) to get our hands dirty in the cold, and let’s not forget the heater not working at the venue (it was cold), we are proud to say our bride and groom were not only happy but kept the room hot with all the dancing and jumping, that you would of not ever known it was below 52 degrees in the building - plus our cake stayed cold the entire time! Marla and Eric communicated their vision to Ingrid, the wedding planner, and myself, and then trusted us to make the magic happen. This wedding was a labor of love in the cold, but we enjoyed every minute and second of it.
